ABOUT US

ALT Architects comprises of overseas and local trained designers that make up the team of passionate, creative and industrious individuals. The team is multi-talented with a vast array of exposure, experience and skill.

Our multi-national office embraces diversity in an open studio type environment promoting constant interaction amongst the team members. Close collaboration with our distinguished international partners such as NBBJ puts a strong emphasis on the design process being our main focus such that the whole is greater than the sum of all parts.

We are constantly keeping up to date and engaging with contemporary design issues to maintain our edge as a leading design practice.

PEOPLE

Cindy Teh - Principal

Having had more than 10 years experience in the architecture scene in Malaysia, working for a number of established offices in Malaysia, from Sunway to SA Architects, Cindy's portfolio of works have been impressive, ranging from the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center to some of the biggest malls in Malaysia. A graduate of Sydney University, her passion and talent in design and technical abilities has allowed her to work with the best, from collaborating with COX architects and American design firm NBBJ. She has also been a design consultant for well known developers which include Keystone Developments and Australian based Metroworld Developments.

Complementary to her passion for great design, Cindy is also a strong advocate for sustainable and environmentally friendly responsive design solutions. As a certified Green Building Index facilitator she aims to pursue her passion in environmentally sustainable design.

Hans Lee - Creative Director

Upon graduating from Liverpool University School of Architecture, Hans worked in the United Kingdom with Downs Variava Architects as part of the team for the regeneration of Liverpool City Centre in conjunction with the European capital of culture masterplan. His portfolio with the well-established BEP Architects upon returning to Malaysia includes master planning, residential and commercial works for some of the biggest developers which include SP Setia Developments and Capital Land.

As an accomplished designer, Hans believes in design focused architecture, optimizing solutions for clients whilst bringing together elements of functionality, program and aesthetics. His combined creative passion and exposure coupled with experience leads the firm to the forefront of design.
